One of the principal reasons for Acoustic Directions' success is the marriage that we have implemented between our listening experience and our high-level acoustical and electro-acoustical theory.
Gaining insight into what we hear requires great listening acuity along with complex acoustic measurements and some serious mathematics.
Our work is characterised by a high attention to detail, leaving nothing to chance. While almost everything we design is predicted mathematically using our computational models, we stress the importance of holistic design. Room acoustics and sound systems can be mutually optimised for sound, architecture and cost.
This solid theoretical platform provides us with the foundation to innovate and explore new ideas for solutions without the need to rely on experience. For example, almost all of our sound system projects has used a new design concept or prediction method and all have been highly successful.
Another key facet of Acoustic Directions' success is our skill in commissioning sound systems. We regard the commissioning of a sound system as a vital part of the design process. The checks and adjustments that we make really do bring the sound quality of the amplified speech and music to optimum. Our approach to sound system commissioning makes Acoustic Directions unusual among consultants.
